Learning to Fly
This song is inspired by having what I would call a “fly or die” moment, its like you're learning and have a knowing of certain things but, still there's an element of the unknown yet to be discovered. That unknown is the applied and tried version of self that followed the inner calling to step into something bigger, a metamorphosis is you will.
This would hold both a metaphorical as well as literal sense of meaning when it comes to stepping into the unknown; though it can be fearful (False Evidence Appearing Real = F.E.A.R.) there is also freedom on the other side. It only seems that way because it is an unknown experience. The best thing to do is to set flight and trust the process because in not doing so would be far worse of a choice to have manifest.
Did It
This song is a continuum of the storyline of trusting the call while being in pursuit, the doubt or negative talk comes and more often than not it usually comes from ourselves before it comes from anyone/anything outside of ourselves. All the: “who am I to succeed”, “what if I fail”, “what if I get laughed at”, “I don't do this or that” must be silenced not by force or agreeance; but acknowledgement. Then let the thoughts and feelings go. Once working pass the weeds of doubt there's nothing that can hold you back from accomplishing the goal that you set out to do. No amount of excuse, roadblocks, naysayers or challenges could get in the way of a well kept vision.
